A lot has happened in WWE since WrestleMania 39 commenced this year. Along with the end of The Show of the Shows came the surprising news of WWE’s merger with Endeavor Group-owned UFC. They shook hands to form a new publicly traded company and recently revealed its name as well. 

The signing of the $21 billion merger between the two most renowned combat sports companies created a new sports entertainment unit. It was temporarily named, New Whale. However, now it is effectively eliminated and a permanent name is given to the merger.

New name for WWE and UFC merger is revealed

After announcing their merger in April, UFC’s current parent company, The Endeavor Group, revealed the permanent name of this newly formed unit via CNBC. It was then came to public knowledge that the merger will be called TKO Group Holdings from now on. 

They are planning to go public by the end of 2023. Even the company’s ticker symbol on the New York Stock Exchange will be TKO. 

Along with this new ownership, came a lot of questions from fans. People must be wondering what will be the roles of Vince McMahon and Dana White in this entirely new setting. To make things a little clear, Ari Emanuel, CEO of Endeavor, will be the CEO of TKO Group Holdings.

However, it seems like this new set of information didn’t go well with fans as they have different stances on the new name.

Fans came up with their different take on the permanent name of the WWE and UFC merger

As soon as the new name of the UFC and WWE’s merger came to the surface, fans took to social media to react. Some of them were in favor of it, while others started to make fun of it in their unique way. 

A set of fans even came up with their hilarious take on the new name of the merger by establishing its connection with Tony Khan. 

Both, fans of pro wrestling and that mixed martial arts gave their take on the name ‘TKO Group Holdings’. Some even labeled it as ‘dumb’ and ‘stupid’. 

Others were left confused about how to react to it.

Now, it remains to be seen what the company does for its stars and in the best interest of themselves to make it a success.
