Five Years Before Becoming Business Partners, Dana White Said Vince McMahon Showed Him ‘What He Really Thought of Me’ With a Disrespectful Gesture

After the news of WWE’s sale emerged, a lot of buzz has been generated. Both the world of UFC and WWE seems to form a union now since the former’s parent company bought the latter and merged the two giants into one big unit. And when we talk about the two renowned promotions of sports entertainment, how can we miss diving into one interesting story from the past when Vince McMahon showed Dana White how he felt about him? 

It’s no secret that several fighters from the UFC have joined WWE in the past. Some well-known names from that would be Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar. However, there are rumors of the same happening with McGregor soon. But since then, there have been several instances when a fighter or the president of UFC himself came to the WWE arena to watch an event. White sheds light on one such episode from five years before, where he felt disrespected.

After McMahon retired and walked off from the promotion, a lot of personalities in WWE and outside of it were saying something or another on the matter. Similarly, the $500 million businessman, White was asked to share a story about McMahon In response to it, White recalled a five-year-old incident when Ronda Rousey made her in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34 in 2018.

For the match, she partnered with Kurt Angle against the pair of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Coming from UFC, Rousey shared a great bond with Dana White and so she insisted he comes to The Show of the Shows. But what happened when the 53-year-old went there tells a lot about McMahon’s shrewd business mindset.

White said, “I fly down f**king New Orleans…I go to the f**king real call window and they’re like, we don’t have tickets for you. I call some people, we found them okay we got your tickets. When I tell you I was in the fucking rafter, Brian was with me,” he added.

One can imagine from this how the event must have turned out for Dana White. He then also mentioned how camerapersons had to crawl over 75 people, kicking someone out from their seat just to take a shot of him. 

However, recalling this entire incident made White say, “They let me know what they thought of me at that event.

The disrespect that he faced in 2018 seems to be still fresh in his mind till now. But the businessman didn’t take his revenge when the roles reversed after almost four years.

When Dana White was asked if he met McMahon at UFC 276, as he was present at the event? He answered yes and also added that the latter reached out and informed him that they wanted to come to the fight.

However, soon after this, White sarcastically took a shot at McMahon saying, “I gave him much better seats than he gave me when I went to see Ronda.”

This story from White tells us about the ruthless side of McMahon as well who always likes to put one over his rivals. However, it’s time for the two renowned businessmen to sit under a roof and take important decisions. It would be interesting to how things develop now.
