Apart from establishing his name in the pro wrestling world, Brock Lesnar has also enjoyed success in MMA. Very few pro wrestlers can say that they have been a champion in the UFC and Lesnar is one of them. Though his UFC career did not begin on a positive note, he quickly turned things around in his favor.

‘The Beast Incarnate’ fought several individuals during his time in the UFC, including Frank Mir, who was Lesnar’s first opponent in the UFC. Mir won his match against Lesnar in the first round only through submission. During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Mir revealed his feelings prior to his fight against Lesnar.

Frank Mir said, “I am fighting a guy who is a national champion wrestler. So he is up there with a pedigree that’s extremely high. I looked at Lesnar as a very legitimate threat because of his wrestling background.”
