Currently, what’s the most common thing between Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Batista, and John Cena? If you guessed Hollywood then you are right. They are pro-wrestling superstars who have carved a name in the biggest movie industry. And it isn’t uncommon for pro wrestling superstars to transition to Hollywood.

And it seems like another WWE veteran is looking forward to following suit. In a recent episode of his podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle revealed major news about his upcoming project as he has signed a movie along with another veteran, but from the UFC.

Kurt Angle has always managed to be a crowd favorite. And not limited to his in-ring work, his promos, acting, and comic timing have also won hearts in the WWE. And now it seems like he is getting a chance to stretch his acting muscles again. During a recent episode of his ‘Kurt Angle Show Podcast’, the 55-year-old revealed that he will be filming a movie with UFC Hall of Famer, Randy Couture.

According to the veteran, the shoot will begin in around six weeks and he seems to be excited for this project. He said, “I have a movie I’m going to be shooting. It’s called The Ranch. Randy Couture is going to star in it with me. We’re going to be brothers.” Angle further provided more details about the movie.

“It’s a movie about a ranch. Randy is a war hero and I’m the scumbag brother. I’m Mr. Red, White, and Blue. Why am I not the war hero? (he laughs). It’s a good movie. We’re working with Michael Tadross. If you don’t know who he is, look him up. You’ll see he’s a really big-time Hollywood producer. I’m excited about doing this with Randy. I haven’t done a major motion picture in eight or nine years, so this is really cool.”

Considering Angle’s previous attempts at Hollywood, this project seems to have really good potential as Michael Tadross has previously worked on movies like Forrest Gump, The Firm, Beverly Hills Cop III, Die Hard with a Vengeance, Indecent Proposal, The Devil’s Advocate among others. So the Hall of Famer would be hoping that the project doesn’t end like his previous ones.

Kurt Angle’s upcoming ‘The Ranch’ is not going to be his first attempt at trying to bring his WWE fans to the theatres. In fact, he has previously worked on several Hollywood projects but unfortunately, most, if not all bombed at the box office.

While most of his movies with him as the main protagonist like Chains (2009) End Game (2009) and River of Darkness (2011) have failed to bring attention, some of his other films with him playing sides have still managed to gain some critical acclaim, like Warrior (2011) and Pain and Gain (2013).
