It is incredible and hard to believe what Lesnar had achieved in both UFC and WWE. He became a main eventer in WWE in a quick time following his debut. And then he stepped into the world of MMA. The Beast Incarnate went to UFC and fought against some of the biggest names.

During his UFC career, the former WWE Champion had some memorable matches. But the match against Shawn Carwin will always remain special for all Lesnar fans.

How many times did Shane Carwin fight Brock Lesnar?

Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin fought against each other only once. But many consider that match as one of the greatest comebacks in the history of UFC.

Back in November 2009 at UFC 105 post-fight press conference, Dana White revealed an interim title match will be held since Lesnar was the UFC Heavyweight Champion at that time and he was suffering from an illness.

After Carwin defeated Frank Mir to become the Interim Heavyweight Champion at UFC 111, he faced Brock Lesnar to unify the heavyweight titles.

Who won Brock Lesnar vs Shane Carwin?

Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin produced a thrilling fight. Even though the fight ended in Round 2, it certainly entertained the fans.

Though Carwin looked destined to win after brutally beating down Brock Lesnar in the first round, the WWE superstar got the better of Carwin in Round 2 and defeated him via submission.

What year did Brock Lesnar fight Shane Carwin?

Lesnar fought Carwin back in 2010, at the UFC 116 event. They battled to unify the heavyweight titles. Brock was scheduled to defend the UFC Heavyweight Championship against Shane Carwin in November 2009 at UFC 106.

But unfortunately, because of Lesnar suffering from illness, it got rescheduled at UFC 108 on January 2, 2010. However, Lesnar was yet to recover and so Dana White declared that an interim title match will be held. Carwin became the Interim Heavyweight Champion at UFC 111. Later, he faced Lesnar at UFC 116.

How did Lesnar beat Shane Carwin?

Shane Carwin looked in total control in the first round. He aggressively attacked Brock Lesnar and hit him with multiple heavy punches.

Carwin hit Brock with a brutal uppercut and landed a knee after rushing him against the fence. Lesnar suffered a brutal onslaught, but Carwin could not finish off Lesnar in the first round. Previously, Carwin had defeated all his opponents within the first round.

During the second round, Carwin looked fatigued, and Lesnar capitalized on it. He got the takedown early and defeated Carwin through the arm-triangle choke submission.

Lesnar handed Shane Carwin his first loss in his mixed martial arts career. But at UFC 121, Lesnar lost the title to Cain Velasquez via TKO in Round 1.
