“Worth the Money” – Former WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey Reacts to NWA EmPowerrr

Former WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey is currently out of in-ring action. However, Rousey is still very much interested in the world of pro wrestling. She was extremely excited about NWA’s first-ever all-women Pay-Per-View, EmPowerrr.

Fellow veterans Mickie James, Gail Kim, were among the producers of the show and made appearances. The match card featured women from NWA, Impact, AEW, and Lucha Libre AAA.

Notable matches include Impact Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo defeating veteran Melina Perez to retain her title. NWA team The Hex (Allysin Kay and Marti Belle) defeated Red Velvet and KiLynn King of AEW to win the revived NWA Women’s Tag Team Championship.

NWA Women’s Champion Kamille retained her title against Leyla Hirsch of AEW. In the main event, Impact Knockout Chelsea Green defeated Bianca Carrelli, Debbie Malenko, Lady Frost, Jamie Senegal, Jennacide, Kiera Hogan, Masha Salamovich, Thunder Kitty, and Tootie Lynn to win the NWA Women’s Invitational Cup.

Ronda Rousey was watching the PPV from her home. She and UFC Fighter Travis Browne are expecting their first child together. Rousey kept tweeting about the events throughout the PPV.

She said that Purrazzo vs Perez “was awesome.” She praised Red Velvet as he wrote, “Holy frickin moley those ladies had such a hard match to follow and not only maintained the momentum of the night but accelerated it – btw @Thee_Red_Velvet still managing to stand out amongst everyone kicking all kinds of ass was so damn impressive.”

To conclude it all, Rousey confessed she would have paid double.”  She once again congratulated Chelsea Greenand all the ladies who put on an amazing show tonight.” Check her tweets below –

Is Ronda Rousey AEW bound?

Rousey has been absent from WWE programming since WrestleMania 35 in 2019. There, she controversially lost her title to Becky Lynch. ‘The Most Dangerous Woman in the World’ is yet to return and reclaim her title.

In the meantime, Rousey has criticized WWE and its constant ‘on-the-road lifestyle. Some took it as an insult to the fans. Now that Rousey is tweeting about the rival competition, fans are thinking otherwise.

It is an unsaid rule in WWE to not give the opponents any leverage. Rousey’s current status in WWE is unknown, so we would not be surprised if she winds up in a rival competition.
