“Come On, There Is No Future”: Sami Zayn Once Detailed His Mother’s Conversation With His Trainer Before He Signed Up for WWE

Sami Zayn is the talk of the WWE right now. His feud with Roman Reigns has garnered a lot of attention from the fans. His protagonist role in The Bloodline story has made him a fan favorite these days. Fans are beyond thrilled for his major clash with Reigns at the Elimination Chamber.

The Honorary Uce has a professional wrestling career spread over 23 years. In all these years, he has experienced a lot of highs and lows. Zayn often speaks about his career struggles in podcasts and shows and opens up about the experience of his journey of two decades. The 6’1 superstar once shared a story of his early training days that involved his mother.

Sami Zayn was a ‘live in the present’ guy

In July 2022, The Underdog from the Underground sat down with Stone Cold Steve Austin in one of his Broken Skull Sessions. In the podcast, the Canadian pro wrestler revealed a “vivid” memory of his mother speaking to his trainer for the first time.

The month was December, and Zayn’s trainer, who never used to come to his house, finally paid a visit during the “last session”. Zayn’s mom, a “little Muslim lady with a hijab, “ came back home and met Zayn’s trainer and asked, “Do you think Rami has a future in wrestling?”

To this, his trainer replied, “Yeah, sure, he’s got a future.” At that moment, all the Champion of the People could think was about the present. He had put all his focus on the present moment and hadn’t thought much about the future.

However, he had one goal — one dream in mind. He wanted to “end up” in WWE “one day.” Though his road was hazy, his destination was clear as a crystal. And with the power of sheer determination and hard work, he made his dream come true.

Zayn Vs Reigns at Elimination Chamber

Speaking of the future, the 212 lb wrestler is all set to wrestle against the Tribal Chief on Saturday, Feb 18, 2023. This match setup happened on the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown after Zayn hit Reigns with a spear.

Later, Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa attacked the blue brand star and The Head of the table promised to break him down in front of his family at the Elimination Chamber, which will take place in Zayn’s hometown of Montreal, Canada.
