Liv Morgan Reveals Her Maiden Big Splurge After Signing With the WWE: “…My First Designer”

Everyone loves to buy new items and splurge money on designer things. But sometimes our financial situation ties our hands. Growing up on a farm with a single mother, four older brothers, and a sister, Liv Morgan had to spend her penny wisely. But when she got a chance to splurge, she sure did it.

Morgan, who was raised without a father, ended up buying the first designer item of her life after she signed with the wrestling company, WWE.

The 5’3 female star appeared as the special guest for the most recent ‘Out of Character with Ryan Satin’ podcast. On episode 95 of the podcast, the show host asked Morgan what she bought first when she landed her contract with WWE.

As a response to this question, the female wrestler said, Looking back, my first big purchase was my home and my mother’s home. But I guess in that moment I bought Gucci sunglasses, and I was like, ooooh, my first designer.”

She was in the middle of the road deciding whether to buy sunglasses worth $1000. But she decided to buy them, anyway. She says it was a very “gutsy” experience for her as she had never bought such an expensive item before because of family financial issues.

A highlight of Liv Morgan’s WWE career

The blue brand star always had a passion for wrestling and used to throw some hands back in her childhood days with her brother in backyard wrestling. A huge fan of John Cena and Lita, Morgan, joined WWE in October 2014 under the developmental branch, NXT. In the white and gold brand, she squared off against the likes of Eva Marie, Emma, and many more.

After almost three years, the company shifted her to the SmackDown roster where she debuted as a heel. On her arrival on the main roster, she teamed up with Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan to attack Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Natalya, and Naomi.

After the superstar shakeup in 2018, the 28-year-old wrestler landed in RAW. In July 2022, she won the Money in the bank contract and cashed it on the same night. She beat the Baddest Woman on the Planet, Ronda Rousey, to become the SmackDown Women’s Champion, her first title reign in WWE.

The New Jersey-born star was the #2 entrant in this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble match where she broke the record for the longest time in the rumble match along with Rhea Ripley.
