WWE released Taya Valkyrie two years ago
Valkyrie went by the name Franky Monet in WWE. The company hired the 145 lb female wrestler in February 2021 under the developmental branch of WWE, NXT. But unfortunately, WWE decided to let her go after almost eight months along with several other talents because of budget cuts courtesy of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021.

Not only that, but her husband, John Morrison, was also released for the same reason a month after her release. Morrison made his debut in WWE in 2002 after co-winning Tough Enough III. He left the company in 2011 due to some health issues but came back to WWE almost eight years later.
WWE firing Morrison made the 5’8 female wrestler grow resentful and post some bitter and critical comments about the company. At the time, she even claimed that WWE would not exist after five years.
Fans upset with WWE
WWE’s red brand celebrated its 30th anniversary this week, and many legends popped up during the event. The WWE Universe enjoyed “Raw is XXX” but also some fans were in a bad mood after the show ended.

WWE upset many fans as they only brought male legends in Raw 30. There were no female legends. Also, the steel cage match between Becky Lynch and Bayley left fans angry and confused as the segment ended abruptly.
This led angry fans to start #WWEWomenDeserveBetter tweet all over social media. Fans were disappointed and upset with the company for neglecting female talent and pushing only the male superstars into the limelight.

Maybe Taya Valkyrie was justifiably angry at the company for her treatment by the WWE. Nonetheless, fans will be delighted to learn that the former WWE superstar is safe after the earthquake in LA.
