Yuvraj Singh and his family have been accused of domestic violence. The victim is allegedly his sister-in-law Akansha Sharma. Akansha has refused to speak on the matter but will reveal all after the first hearing on October 21. However, her lawyer Swati Singh Malik has confirmed the development. There will be more on the Yuvraj Singh domestic violence case as the story develops.

Swati said: “Yes, Akansha has filed a case of domestic violence against Yuvraj, Zoravar and their mother Shabnam. Domestic violence does not mean just physical violence. It also means mental and financial torture, which can be attributed to Yuvraj. Yuvraj was a mute spectator to the suffering caused to my client by Zoravar and his mother. When Yuvraj and Zoravar’s mother was pressurising Akansha to have a baby, Yuvraj too had joined in to do the same. He too told Akansha ‘to have a baby’. He was hand-in-glove with his mother. Yuvraj would even tell her that she should obey his mother because she was the most superior person in the house. That lady is extremely dominant. Zoravar and Akansha were at her mercy for every decision.”

Yuvraj was not directly involved in the domestic violence. But, his mere silence to Akansha’s plight holds him responsible as it would seem that he was supporting Shabnam and Zoravar. While it is true that this case will not affect him on the field, it would be a PR nightmare for the southpaw. In today’s day and age, there are reports of so many incidents of violence against women. So this allegation will surely have a huge impact on his popularity. We will just have to wait and see how this plays out and what will be the outcome for Yuvi.

Bigg Boss 10 contestant, Akansha married Zorawar a couple of years ago. But they split four months later due to irreconcilable circumstances.
