Many Fortnite players and content creators have an inner toxic side that they try to repress. The ability to emote, carry players and melee kill them has left players with many avenues of disrespecting lesser-skilled opponents.

The variety of fun emotes in Fortnite was a drawing factor for many new players. The ability to hit a backflip or bring an imaginary llama pogo stick out in the middle of an intense battle royale is something unique to Epic’s battle royale. However, the community has managed to turn these fun dances into a form of disrespect.

You know your opponent is far better than you if they deliver the final blow with a pickaxe. This was made popular in the game by former Fortnite pro, Tfue, in his YouTube videos. Ever since, the gesture has remained a way of players asserting their dominance over others.

Stream sniping
What could be more toxic than watching a creator’s stream for hours just so you have the chance of getting in their game and killing them before they can get a weapon? Nothing.
Fortnite has been plagued with stream-sniping since its inception, with creators like Ninja and SypherPK bearing the brunt of it. Furthermore, following someone and catching them off guard is not a skill but cowardice.
