James Faulkner, the Australian all-rounder who won some matches for Australia with his splendid batting and bowling performance might never play for Australia again. He won the Man of the Match award for his bowling figures in 2015 World Cup final. During a period he was being compared with MS Dhoni due to his aggressive batting style. The CA has announced the squad for Champions Trophy and surprisingly he is not on the list.

Former Australian cricketer Rodney Hogg has said that he might never play for Australia again after being denied central contract by the CA. According to Rodney, James Faulkner got a contract from Lancashire earlier this year. For that, he needed to play some games before Champions Trophy but the CA denied the request. He said, “You won’t see James Faulkner play for Australia again. He will go off and play T20 cricket. He is so disillusioned with the whole set up. Earlier in the year, Faulkner got a contract from Lancashire worth 120,000 pounds to play some games prior to the Champions Trophy in June. He told Cricket Australia and they said no, you can’t do it. They wanted him to rest up and keep himself cherry ripe for the Champions Trophy. They don’t pick him and then they drop him from the contract.”
Now, this is interesting as James Faulkner was trying to get Indian citizenship. If he gets that he will be eligible to play for India.
