In the past few weeks, people have witnessed an unexpected collaboration between politics and the gaming community. Starting with streamers joining AOC while she played Among Us to Ninja urging his fans to vote, influencers are doing everything in their power to spread awareness among the youth. Hence, they are conducting various activities ranging from awareness campaigns to charity stream in order to get the word out.

Recently, streamer, former pro, and CEO of 100 Thieves, Nadeshot, joined the club of politically informed influencers. He has used his personal as well as the influence of 100T to bring about a change.

At the beginning of this year, 100 Thieves partnered up with Cash App to open a gaming facility. The compound, known as the ‘100 Thieved Cash App Compound‘, is the largest Esports team facility in the US. The location also serves as the HQ for 100T and is housed in LA, California.

100T recently signed with the talent agency CAA, which also represents Ninja and Dr Disrespect. In a pleasant move, they have opened up the grounds of the Cash App Compound to function as a voting center. Previously, NBA teams had also signed their arenas up to serve as voting centers in elections.

The Verge reported that the 100T HQ “will serve as an official LA County Voting Center, which will be open for early voters from October 30th to November 2nd, as well as on Election Day on November 3rd.”

The Esports organization also hired popular graffiti artist Slick to paint a temporary mural on a wall that reads “vote.” They also plan to change it to say “we voted” on November 2nd. Talking about the move, Nadeshot said, “Ever since we put down roots in this pocket of Los Angeles with the opening of the 100 Thieves Cash App Compound at the beginning of the year, we’ve been looking for ways to give back to the community.

“We’re thankful to the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder / County Clerk for the work they are doing this election season, and we’re excited to partner with them to offer up our space.”

The move is definitely a step in the right direction. However, signing with an agency may also be perceived as a marketing strategy, something 100T is well known for.
