World No.2 Rafael Nadal is no longer a 19-time Grand Slam winner. With his 13th French Open title, he has successfully equalized the Swiss maestro Roger Federer with 20 Grand Slam titles. Nadal defeated World No.1 Novak Djokovic in the final of the French open 2020 in straight sets. The final scoreline of the match was 6-0, 6-2, 7-5. What’s even more astonishing is the fact that Nadal didn’t lose a single set in the whole tournament.

The Spaniard is receiving praise from all over the world. Roger Federer is the latest to join the list. Sharing a picture with Nadal on Twitter, the 39-year-old Swiss congratulated him for winning his 20th Grand Slam title at the Roland Garros.

“As my greatest rival over many years, I believe we have pushed each other to become better players. It is a true honor for me to congratulate him on his 20th Grand Slam victory. I hope 20 is just another step on the continuing journey for both of us,” wrote a cheerful Federer on Twitter.

The reason Federer has only a single French Open title is Nadal himself. Even during his prime time, Federer dominated on all surfaces but could not get past Nadal at the French Open. The two met each other on so many occasions, yet the ‘King of the Clay’ always had the upper hand.
