The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off in Russia today with the home team facing Saudi Arabia. After 90 minutes of fierce battling, the Russians crushed the Saudi Arabians by hammering in 5 goals. The Middle-Eastern team had no answers for the brutal assault and went down without a fight.
When the match/massacre was complete, the fans nearly went ballistic. The roars could probably be heard from miles away. Here is how Twitter reacted to the opening match of the tournament. The Russians surged ahead, courtesy goals from Yury Gazinsky, Denis Cheryshev, Artem Dzyuba and Aleksandr Golovin.
