400m Hurdles Favorite Sydney McLaughlin Announces Huge Tag Heuer Partnership Ahead of Tokyo Olympics 2021

Hurdler Sydney McLaughlin stormed through the field in the recent US Olympics track & field trials. She defeated the current World Champion and Olympic Champion, Dalilah Muhammad, and clinched the world record as well. And now, as she moves ahead to Tokyo Olympics 2021, she announced an exciting partnership with the Swiss brand, Tag Heuer.
Sydney now joins an exclusive list of ambassadors of the famous Swiss watchmaker, Tag Heuer. Alongside the likes of Naomi Osaka, Tommy Fleetwood, etc, Sydney is in a great company of individuals. The player and the brand have placed a strong emphasis on the tagline ‘Don’t crack under pressure’.

McLaughlin clocked in a world record timing of 51.90 seconds in 400m hurdles at the recently concluded Olympic trials. She hence became the first female athlete to go below the 52-second mark. Dalilah Muhammad came second behind Sydney. Boh Dalilah and Sydney are prime candidates for the gold medal and with the world record run before the Tokyo Olympics 2021, Sydney could break Dalilah’s dominance soon.
“I will cherish this for the rest of my life. There’s no animosity or hard feelings. We have to have each other to have these world records,” McLaughlin on beating Dalilah’s record.

Sydney will be heading to her second Olympic games. She competed at the 2016 Rio Olympics games at the of 17 and hence was the youngest American Olympic sprinter in over 30 years.
