

FIFA announced it’s 23 man ‘short-list’ for the 2014 Ballon d’Or and whilst the usual suspects got a nod, there were a fair few who were seemingly snubbed.
Here are six such players.

#Luis Suarez (Liverpool/Barcelona & Uruguay)
Yes, he bites people but that shouldn’t preclude him from a nod in FIFA’s 23 man ‘short-list’, we are after all talking about the Premier League’s top scorer last term and a player who also provided more than his fair share of assists in 2014.

#Arturo Vidal (Juventus & Chile)
Played a key Played a key role in Juventus Serie. A title triumph and surely worthy of a nod

#Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal & Wales)
Gunners star was back to his best during portions of 2014, scoring the winner at the 2014 FA Cup final to boot.

#Luka Modric (Real Madrid & Croatia)
Midfield maestro has been in inspired form in 2014, playing a prominent role in Real Madrid’s Champions League triumph and must be one ofthe first names on Carlo Ancelotti’s team-sheet.

#Sergio Aguero (Man City & Argentina)
Won the Premier League with Man City and has racked up no less than 21 goals for club and country in 2014 and that from only 26 starts.

#Jerome Boateng (Bayern Munich & Germany)
Won the World Cup and the Bundesliga but still didn’t make it onto the short-list, crazy.
