Nick Kyrgios called his partnership with Venus Williams the best at Wimbledon Championships 2021

Despite the huge expectations on Kyrgios alone at Wimbledon. The Australian is carefree about the additional expectations that come with a partner of Venus’ caliber. He in turn said that they will be the best mixed doubles team in the tournament.

All this banter actually began four years ago at the WTA finals when Venus Williams was asked about her dream doubles partner. There she mentioned Nick Kyrgios and now that has now become a reality.

“I don’t know, I think it’d be fun to play with Nick Kyrgios,” she said. To Venus’ above comments, Kyrgios had replied: “Thankssssss legend”

Kyrgios’ mixed doubles partner search was also hilarious. The Australian went to Instagram and Twitter for mixed doubles partner suggestions. Kyrgios had asked on his Instagram handle: “Mixed doubles for Wimbledon. Who wants in?”

Venus and Nick are there in their respective singles draws as well. They both are unseeded, but Kyrgios qualified directly to the main draw whereas Venus needed a wildcard to participate. Venus will start her singles campaign against Mihaela Buzarnescu, whereas Kyrgios will play against Halle Open 2021 champion, Ugo Humbert.
