Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was perhaps one of the most anticipated titles this year. There was a lot of tittle-tattle around its development before Treyarch officially announced it.

There has been yet another development and like other updates, we’re not quite sure if it was deliberate. A brand new mode has surfaced, which isn’t available in any version of the game. Several players have spotted the leak, suggesting it might roll out with a subsequent update.
The celebrated case comes directly from the game where players have found a message running at the bottom of their loading screens. This ticker on the players’ screen talks about a mode called ‘Dropkick’.

Many have spent countless hours looking for something more but have found no mention of Dropkick yet. Ardent followers also suggest that a mode like that has never existed in the franchise’s history. This information makes it safe to assume that Dropkick will be added to the game sooner than we think.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War might get a new mode
Black Ops Cold War has received mixed reviews since its launch. True, a fiscal year is rather incomplete without a new CoD title. But the SBMM mode has been heavily criticized by a lot of professionals and especially streamers.
It makes it pretty sweaty to just enjoy the game casually, taking away the fun element of the title. Other than that, the Campaign and Zombies mode doesn’t seem to trouble the players, leaving the multiplayer mode as the bone of contention.

Could this be the trigger element for the devs to roll out a new mode?
“If you die while your team is holding the objective, you won’t respawn until the carrier is eliminated.”
This is what the message reads, but another leak points to a more fruitful idea of what the update might unravel. Another leak, courtesy of Warzone, highlights the inclusion of launch codes, a powerful nuke, and objective holding.
