An announcement at the Tokyo Games Show 2020 suggests that fans will have to wait longer for a new title in the Yakuza series.

Ayana Tsubaki posted an update on Twitter, indicating that a new title was in development. More importantly, she indicated that the new title would be revealed at the Tokyo Games Show this year. However, she took the post off immediately. But it was enough to send the community into a state of frenzy.

Most fans believed that it was leaked and was to be a show-stopper at the event and was hence deleted. But Ayana Tsubaki put an end to all this tittle-tattle and accepted that she misunderstood the chain of events.
