The world is suffering at the hands of the coronavirus. What started in one city has now infected over 2 million people around the world and killed over 150,000. During this time where everyone is protecting themselves, the people who have put their lives at risk trying to save others are the healthcare workers. This is why they deserve a thanks and Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka has given it to them.

Naomi Osaka Says ‘Thank You’

Recently, a virtual program called ‘One World: Together At Home’ was telecasted all around the world. It was meant to be a music program but many celebrities who didn’t do music appeared on the program. Naomi Osaka was one of those celebrities.

She appeared on the program to thank the healthcare workers for helping those who have been infected by the virus. She also read out what other people wrote thanking the healthcare workers. They will certainly be happy to see people appreciating what they do.

While the coronavirus has had many negative effects, tennis fans will mostly be focused on one – the suspension of the tennis season. Tennis fans are not only stuck in their homes but they are stuck without any tennis to watch. They will be wondering – when are we going to see tennis again? Unfortunately, there is no clear answer.

The suspension of the tennis season has been extended not once but twice. If the situation with the virus does not get better soon we may not see any tennis in 2020. Hopefully, we won’t have to see that happen with the development of a new vaccine that is undergoing trials.

Let’s hope this vaccine works and then we can see the return of the tennis season. Naomi Osaka can then return to capture some grand slam titles like she did in 2018-19 which is probably what she is preparing for right now.
