A lot has been said about two-time NFL MVP winner Aaron Rodgers in the last couple of months. A-Rod will turn 37 in December this year but is adamant that he still has more to offer, as far as the NFL is concerned. The Green Bay Packers veteran was in the news throughout the offseason. That was mainly because the Packers traded up and brought in Utah State QB Jordan Love in the first round of this year’s NFL draft.

Many critics argued that Rodgers was on the decline in recent years. However, his preseason training clips from this year prove otherwise. The veteran quarterback is entering his 15th season in the NFL. But he continues to impress Packers head coach Matt LaFleur and his teammates.

Aaron Rodgers, Tim Boyle enjoying themselves during preseason training

The above clip is from a recent Packers preseason training drill involving Rodgers and backup QB Tim Boyle. The California-born veteran can be seen getting a tad bit aggressive with Boyle during a quarterback training drill. Rodgers casually took the ball off Boyle’s hands and had a laugh about it. When Boyle went to pick up the ball and complete the drill, Rodgers kicked it away.

Of course, Boyle got his revenge on the veteran quarterback later during practice.

Here’s what Rodgers told Packers News about promising wideout Marquez Valdes-Scantling amidst preaseason training.

“I would say the receiver I’ve been most impressed with, especially the last week or 10 days of camp, is Marquez. I think he has had some really good practices in a row and started to lay down some good practice fundamentals that he can lean on. But at the same time, I know (coach) Matt (LaFleur) said this at one point, this is the new standard for MVS.”

“I’m proud of the way that he’s gone about his business. I thought he had a fantastic Sunday and made a bunch of plays. Some heady plays and just some plays he’s supposed to make. Now he’s making the catches he’s expected to make, and he’s adding some extra plays in there where he’s doing some smart things and showing the growth, so I’m really proud of MVS,” Rodgers said.
