Hull City striker Abel Hernandez has been banned for 3 matches after being found guilty of punching Manchester United defender Phil Jones. Abel Hernandez was spotted punching Phil Jones in the abdomen on camera while the Manchester United defender was defending a Hull corner.

It has been a tough few months for Hull City and Steve Bruce.  First, Jake Livermore was tested positive for cocaine and was banned for 6 months and then they were unfortunately relegated from the Premier League after succumbing to a 0-0 draw against Manchester United. Hull were unable to beat United while Newcastle United went on to beat West Ham at St. James Park to stay in the top flight for yet another year.

Hull City now face an year in the below division. Hull also face a tough summer ahead and may find it difficult to hold on to their best players and staff from teams in the top flight and Europe. Meanwhile, Hull owners had confirmed before, they won’t be sacking Steve Bruce even if they get relegated. Hull, now have been relegated and it might prove difficult holding on to Bruce in case teams come looking for a new manager.
