There is a reason why AC Milan has bet their money on the 38-year-old former Swedish international. In recent years, he has had spells with Paris Saint Germain, Manchester United and LA Galaxy. And he’s proved to be a success at all of these clubs. Scoring 113 goals in 122 appearances for the French Champions, 17 goals in 33 appearances for the Manchester giants and 56 goals in 52 appearances for the MLS outfit.

Stefano Pioli excited with Ibrahimovic signing

AC Milan has signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic on an initial 6 months contract with an option to extend for another year. And his arrival is seen in a bright light by the former Champions League winners. With their boss Stefano Pioli quoted saying, “Ibra is a warrior, a leader, a charismatic player who has a great sense of responsibility and a great desire to win,

“He’ll stimulate the whole team, his contribution will be crucial. Being the youngest team in the League, we’ve encountered some limitations in terms of a competitive streak. He can do it all, he knows how set up his team-mates, he knows how to occupy the box well and he’ll know how to be the reference point in our attack.”

“I spoke to him on the phone, he’s very fired up and he can’t wait to train with us, just like I can’t wait to coach him.”

AC Milan, a club with Champions League ambitions, are currently sitting at 11th spot in the Serie A table. And are in desperate need for the veteran striker to come good for them.
