AC Milan have announced the signing of Luiz Adriano from Shakhtar Donetsk.

The 28-year old Brazilian striker has signed a five-year deal which was agreed during a meeting between the club and the player’s agent at Casa Milan. Following the meeting, Milan announced his signing immediately.

The signing was announced through a message on the club’s website, “AC Milan announces that it has today acquired outright hat the player Luiz Adriano from FC Shakhtar Donetsk, who has signed a contract which runs until June 30, 2020.”

“The player will join up with team in the coming days.”

Later Shakhtar confirmed that the Rossoneri paid 8M Euros to secure Adriano.

“Shakhtar and Milan have agreed on the details of the Brazilian striker’s move to the Italian club. The transfer fee amounted to 8M Euros.”

Luiz Adriano was the third highest scorer for the club this season scoring 9 goals in 19 games in the Domestic League.

The highlight of the 2015/16 season for Luiz Adriano were his 5 goals against BATE Borisov in the UEFA Champions League where Shakhtar won 7-0.
