The beef between Jon Jones and Israel Adesanya has been catching major momentum on social media. Chael Sonnen recently sat down with Submission Radio and discussed this.

Jon Jones and Israel Adesanya have had a go at each other on several occasions in the past. This beef has now taken the route of social distancing and has moved online. The back and forth on social media is getting pretty heated. Do you think this will eventually lead to a fight between the two?

Chael Sonnen when asked about his thoughts on this ongoing feud, was actually quite excited about it. And comparing it to his match up with Anderson Silva he said, “ Oh yes! Definitely. If that fight got signed and those guys were given a full media tour. Yeah! And what’s so go about this, Adesanya is absolutely sure he’s going to beat Jon Jones. And Jon Jones is absolutely sure he’s going to beat Adesanya. Neither one is conceding to big brother status. They’re both looking at it like ‘hey I’m the alpha here!’ And there’s something really fun about that.”

Jones’ recent antics have caught up with him. Speaking about his arrest and Jones’ ways of dealing with it, Sonnen said,” The mask is off. They have known he’s a scumbag for a while now. But now that he’s finally in touch with what a dirty guy he actually is, he’s steering into it. From a marketing and promotion standpoint, he’s doing everything right. The gig is up. Everybody knows.”

Chael Sonnen picks his winner

When asked what the fight week would look like according to him. Sonnen having already dealt with Jones and a fight week drill with him says Jones isn’t great with press conferences. He said, “Jon doesn’t even know what day it is most of the time. Jon is really just looking for the next party. But I will tell you, Adesanya brings a fire. There’s a venom. He’s practiced. He’s rehearsed. Jon Jones is not ready for press conferences.”

Ultimately, Chael Sonnen gives us his prediction and the outcome of the fight. He said, “Oh forget it. Adesanya will whip his ass!” So there you have it, Sonnen has picked his winner. Who do you think will win this fight if it were to ever happen?
