Adidas is the official uniform provider for USA golf at the Tokyo Olympics 2021. It has worked in collaboration with Japanese artist, Hiroko Takahashi, in creating four different uniforms for each of the four days of the competition at the Olympics. The four uniforms are based on wind, forest, fire, and mountain.

“I designed the USA GOLF uniforms with links of circles and lines, imagining the powers of individuals coming together as one and spreading into infinite possibilities,” Takahashi said.

The uniforms house Adidas’ premium fabric technologies such as Ultimate365 and HEAT.RDY. Moreover, the uniforms are in American colors but the four elements on which the uniforms were designed are based on Japan.

“To wear something that represents not just Team USA, but also just a little more about the history and the culture we’re going to play these Olympics in, it just adds extra meaning to it,” World No.4 Collin Morikawa reacted to uniforms.

Who will wear the uniforms at Tokyo Olympics 2021 and what it looks like?

The first uniform is white with a blue line running from the collar to the sleeves. Moreover, there are blue lines starting from the bottom left and increasing in length as they reach the collar.

On the left side is the USA logo in red. This uniform represents wind. The second uniform is based on forest. It is also white with a faded blue pattern in an arc on the right side.

The next uniform resembles fire. And hence it is in red. It has a pattern that seems to be a little faded and is in black color. The pattern starts from the collar and turns towards the right-hand side.

And the last uniform is for mountains and is in dark blue color. From far it looks like a plain dark blue t-shirt, however, there are a few patterns in light blue.

The eight golfers ready to don the above four uniforms are – Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, and Bryson DeChambeau on the men’s side, and Nelly and Jessica Korda, Lexi Thompson, and Danielle Kang from the women’s side.
