A kick from Danielson sent one of Cabana’s tooth flying out of his mouth to the mat. Danielson secured the win using the LaBell Lock, and then pointed out the tooth lying on the mat. If someone would have missed it, it was hard to miss after Danielson pointed it out.

After the match ended, Danielson addressed the crowd and used a word which he primarily used during his WWE heel run.

“When I debuted in Chicago, I got a much different reaction than this. And I wonder, is it me or is it you? Because I have one word to describe that, and that’s fickle. I am not fickle. I came out here and I said I was going to kick Colt Cabana’s head in. And not only did I kick his head in, but I also kicked his teeth out.” H/t Wrestling Inc

Hence, Danielson surpassing them for title shots and opportunities wasn’t something the fans expected. However, it happened, and he went through quite a few opponents to become the number one contender for the AEW World Championship.

Ideally, Danielson would have preferred taking on former Champion Kenny Omega, considering he couldn’t win the first time they had a match.
