During the show, a ‘paid advertisement’ aired on Impact, featuring Tony Schiavone and none other than AEW’s President, Tony Khan. Khan and Schiavone hyped up the matches and segments for the upcoming episode of Dynamite. They even took some brave and funny shots at Don Callis’ company.

The most newsworthy moment of the advertisement was Khan mentioning that he might buy Impact Wrestling entirely. With a net worth of $7 billion, Tony Khan can more than afford Impact Wrestling. The head honcho of AEW even has his eyes set on some of Impact’s talent, especially the tag-team division.

Tony admonishes Kenny for fleeing with the AEW Title

Khan admitted that he intentionally did not stop Kenny Omega’s escape to Impact.

“I could file an injunction, tell Kenny he’s in breach of his contract, but I wouldn’t do that. Instead, I thought I’d actually help fund the show via this ad. Its gonna help the show, its gonna help the budget. It’ll even help promote AEW to have our champion on our show.”

Schiavone and Khan criticized Omega’s strategy of winning the title. Khan referred to Jon Moxley as the greatest champion in wrestling, and it was ‘terrible’ what occurred on Winter is Coming last week. He openly invited Callis and Omega back to Dynamite, where they could talk about what exactly transpired last week.
