First, the company debuted its new show, AEW Rampage. At Rampage, for the first time ever, Kenny Omega defended the IMPACT World Title, but lost it to Christian Cage.
Next, AEW revealed the Chicago United Center as its new location. In fact, even before any announcement, Tony Khan and others flew to United Center to record promos.
Finally, the biggest HIT EVER! Tony Khan brought CM Punk to town. It erupted an entire arena of fans into loud cheers. Moreover, it broke social media and ratings statistics and overshadowed Brock Lesnar’s WWE return.
Not only did CM Punk make his AEW debut, but also challenged Darby Allin for the PPV All Out, September 5th, 2021.

CM Punk confirmed another huge AEW debut
During his Dynamite debut, Punk was standing in the ring while everyone cheered “Yes”. At that point, Punk informed the AEW Universe and told the crowd they need to wait a while more to meet the original owner of the chant. That definitely intrigued the crowd, and everyone was on edge.
Following that, he posted a photograph of himself and Daniel Bryan. This further confirmed the news of Bryan debuting at the company.
