All Elite Wrestling has been in the pro wrestling business for almost three years now. The one thing the company has always talked about is their Tag Team Division. Well, if we consider pro wrestling promotions and their talent today, AEW does have the best Tag Team division. But does that mean they can claim they’ve had the greatest tag team match of all time?

A Twitter user posted a sequence from The Young Bucks vs Kenny Omega and Hangman Page match at Revolution 2020. The sequence the user uploaded was the one where Omega kicks out after a Superkick Party and Double V-Trigger from the Bucks. Quoting this tweet, the official AEW Twitter account made a bold claim.

The accolades and the praise from fans are no lie. It was undoubtedly ‘one’ of the greatest tag team matches if not the greatest. Why do we say so?

Well, there are tons of other tag team matches that should be considered before making such a bold claim. AEW is a promotion that works with several other promotions, so they must take their action into consideration as well.
There are several other matches that make a strong case for the greatest tag team match. You’ve got Two Man Power Trip vs Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit, The Revival vs Gargano and Ciampa at TakeOver: Toronto, the tag team TLC Match from WrestleMania X7, and so many more!

To sum it up, it would be really unfair for AEW to not consider other tag team matches. In fact, we’d say not just tag team matches in WWE, but tag team matches from AJPW and NJPW from back in the day can also be considered. Either way, we certainly agree that Bucks vs Omega and Page is the greatest tag team match in the past two years.
