AEW Revolution: Scorpio Sky Wins TNT Title Shot, Former IMPACT Star Ethan Page Makes his AEW Debut in Ladder Match

AEW Revolution featured an amazing ladder match with a TNT Title shot on the line. Five of AEW’s brightest talents and a surprise entrant battled it out until an unconventional winner pulled down the brass ring. Scorpio Sky ripped Cody Rhodes from the top of the ladder to register the biggest win of his career.

Former IMPACT Tag Team Champion Ethan Page made his AEW debut in tonight’s ladder match. Ethan is one of the best and most charismatic talents in the world, making him a terrific signing for the promotion.

Page may not have won, but he put on a wonderful performance in his AEW debut. In an impressive feat of strength, Page hit a Razor’s Edge on the 300 pound Lance Archer. He then ate a short-arm clothesline from Jake Roberts to a big pop from the crowd.

Cody Rhodes takes an insane amount of punishment

The MVP of the ladder match was undoubtedly Cody Rhodes. The first TNT Champion took a ton of punishment at the hands of every wrestler in the ring. Rhodes had to head to the back to tend to his injuries, but he returned and almost won the match.

In a terrifying spot, Rhodes ate a Mexican Destroyer from Pentagon Jr on a ladder. He also took a massive superplex from Lance Archer from the top of a ladder, followed by an elbow drop by Max Caster from the top as well. His selling was on point throughout the match, and his performance warranted a big win tonight.

Scorpio Sky wins AEW TNT Title Shot

SCU member Scorpio Sky won the biggest match of his life, ripping Cody off the ladder to win the title. Rhodes and Sky faced each other before with the TNT Title on the line, and it made perfect sense for them to be the last men fighting.

Sky bounced back after taking a big bump. Archer delivered a running high knee to Sky, who fell off the top rope through a ladder below. Sky’s landing snapped the ladder in half.

He fought back into the match and won his third title shot in AEW. Sky has unsuccessfully challenged for the AEW Championship and TNT Championship. Will the first-ever AEW Tag Team Champion win his first singles championship in AEW?
