Apparently, the accident took place when Hardy was coming from home from Jacksonville on Friday after AEW Dynamite. On the way, Hardy encountered a car wreck just 25 minutes away from his home.
As the star stood in traffic, a truck suddenly collided with Hardy’s car at about 40mph. As Hardy described in a later tweet, this was because of the concerned driver “rubbernecking the wreck.”

‘Rubbernecking the wreck’ means “distracted driving.” In this instance, it usually means when someone is looking at the side of the roads, instead of the road itself.
Although the back of the car is destroyed, Matt Hardy said he is fine and joked that he is invincible. See his tweet describing the accident and the picture of his car below –
Just so the 'net understands.
Was driving home from Jacksonville on Friday & there was a wreck 25 mins away from my house. It created standstill traffic, which I had stopped in. A truck drove into my stopped car at about 40 mph, because he was rubbernecking the wreck. I am fine. https://t.co/v7OZedxMf6

Matt Hardy will be wrestling in Impact
It is a good thing that Hardy is alright. Earlier this week on Tuesday, he and his Private Party friends showed up in Impact, defeating James Storm and Chris Sabin.

This victory earned the Private Party a title shot against the Impact Tag Team Champions Good Brothers. The match will take place at Impact’s No Surrender PPV on February 13.
The trio was not happy with AEW’s Top Wrestler pick this week, which was Dark Order’s, Alex Reynolds. Hardy wrote how Alex “didn’t win 3 matches spanning 2 different companies within 24 hours. The Hardy Party are the REAL Wrestlers of the Week. THE TRUTH IS THE TRUTH.”
