Most of the fans know her as AJ Lee because of her work with WWE. Hence, maybe she expected him to refer to her as AJ Lee when talking about her on wrestling TV, but Punk had other ideas.

In fact, he would not refer to her as AJ Lee considering he got his WWE release papers on his wedding with Lee.

Punk’s first debut was at AEW Rampage, where he took several shots at WWE and Vince McMahon. In fact, he even handed out ice cream bars to every fan present at the arena.

Therefore, it’s possible when Daniel Bryan comes to AEW, he could do something similar to make his debut more impactful. The last time he was in WWE, Roman Reigns told him to either beat him or leave. After he lost, he was never seen at the company again.
