Cody Rhodes does not seem to get enough of the in-ring action after his return. After his gruesome and bloody fight with Brodie Lee last week, the AEW TNT Champion defended his title against Orange Cassidy on Dynamite.

Cody made his way to the ring with his wife, Brandi, and coach Arn Anderson. The match was a special 20-minutes ‘beat the clock’ challenge, with some Dark Order members in attendance.

The match started slow but quickly gained pace. With super-kicks, suplex, and dives, the match progressed at a fast pace with plenty of jaw-dropping moments. However, that’s when the Dark Order made an appearance.

The group could not deal with their leader’s loss last week. After Cody fell over the guardrail, Dark Order’s John Silver grabbed the TNT Championship and tried to hit Cody, but Cassidy stopped him. The referees then ejected all the Dark Order members from ringside.

After the interruption, we saw a couple of brilliant moves from both ends. With one minute remaining in the match, both men hit double lariats. Cody looked for the finish, but Cassidy hit him with a DDT and Peach Break for a near-fall. The match ended in a draw as time ran out, and Rhodes retained his title for another week.
