MJF introduced him to ‘ The Labors of Chris Jericho,’ referencing to ‘The Labors of Hercules.’ He told him that he’d have to face four different people back to back in a gauntlet match of MJF’s choice. The catch? All with different stipulations before getting his hands on MJF.

“My favourite Greek story was ‘The labors of Hercules’, and I’m gonna offer you 5 labors Chris. The first four will be the opponents of my choosing, all with different stipulations, and you have to win back to back..”, MJF added “And the fifth stipulation, if you manage to get through the first four, which you won’t. You get that MJF rub one more time,” said MJF.

Chris Jericho doesn’t back down from MJF’s challenge on AEW Dynamite: Road Rager

Jericho was amused by the offer and didn’t hesitate to sign the contract, letting him know that he accepts his ‘labors’ and it doesn’t matter how many men he has to face to get to MJF, terming himself as ‘The God of War’ in the AEW.

“If I can’t beat you, maybe I don’t deserve to be in AEW anyways. But I’ll tell you this, I’m your guy. I’m gonna accept your labors because I’m the God of battle, I am the God of Thunder, I am the God of War in AEW!, and I’m going to beat you” Jericho said before signing the deal.
