After Jim Ross labeled Randy Orton as the best wrestler in the world, a debate has engulfed the wrestling world. On Sunday, former WWE and current AEW icon, Chris Jericho, revealed his own favorite.
While others may differ, according to Jericho, AEW World Champion Kenny Omega is the best wrestler right now. He first met the wrestler in 2018 in NJPW while Omega was the promotion’s United States Heavyweight champion. The title is now in the hands of fellow AEW superstar Jon Moxley.

The “Le Champion” wrote on Twitter, “In my opinion, @KennyOmegamanX is the best wrestler in the world today. Others may feel differently, but I’ve been in the ring w everybody currently working on top & there’s nobody close. That’s why Kenny is @AEW Champ-the most protected title in the biz. It’s impossible to argue.”
The Cleaner’s brand value can be ascertained by the fact that he holds the top championship in three different platforms – AEW, Impact, and AAA.

Words travel fast in this world. Hence, Omega also got the air of Jericho’s praise for him. In classic Omega fashion, he used sarcasm to deal with the situation.
“Meh. I’d rather believe the bigot cuck, dimwit e-drones, and the guy that thinks I’m the WWE champion,” said Omega, as he retweeted Jericho’s post.
The current number one contender for AEW Women’s Championship, Dr. Britt Baker DMD, approved Jericho’s praise for Kenny as well.

The fans are also vouching for Jericho and Omega on Twitter. They also mentioned that Omega would be main eventing three PPVs over three promotions in one year, which is unheard of.
Kenny has done more for the wrestling business than Randy and Roman combined.
As a foreigner, he carried a Japanese promotion on his back. Randy and Roman can't claim that.

Appreciate the opinion, your inside it’s important. I can only speak as a viewer, Kenny is definitely up there, there are so many talented performers right now but for me the best is Roman, like I say I’m only speaking as a viewer, if somebody else says Kanny is hard to disagree.

Interestingly, AEW commentator and industry veteran Jim Ross recently picked Randy Orton as the best wrestler in the world. He also said that AEW fans might put Omega over but as per him, Orton is ahead in terms of creative storylines and delivery.
While it is uncertain whether Jericho was responding to JR or not, his words certainly resonated with the majority of the AEW fanbase. There has been no response from Ross’ side as of now.
