Chris Jericho Overcomes Juvented Guerrera in Third Labor at AEW Dynamite: Homecoming

On this week’s AEW Dynamite: Homecoming from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida. People got to see a rematch that was first fought decades ago, a rematch between Chris Jericho and Juventud Guerrera.
Jericho won the match and put an end to a long-term rivalry of 22 years. Juventud Guerrera made his AEW debut this week as the third installment in ‘Five Labors of Jericho’, with MJF on commentary.

The two wrestlers last met under the roof of WCW in 1999 for an infamous Mask vs Title match in which Jericho emerged victoriously, and Guerrera had to abandon his sacred mask that night. However, Guerrera made his way out wearing his traditional Mexican mask.
This match had a unique stipulation; in order to win the match, Jericho must hit a top rope move to win this match.

Right off the bat, Guerrera inflicted heavy attacks on Jericho with chops and forearms in the corner; eventually, driving Jericho out of the ring with a lariat.

The two wrestlers then go back and forth at each other showcasing glimpses of their bout which took place 22 years ago. As per the stipulation, Jericho hit multiple maneuvers from the top rope to seal the victory but The Mexican kicked out every time.

Chris Jericho conquers his ‘Third Labor’ on AEW Dynamite: Homecoming
Towards the ending of the match, Guerrera hit Jericho with the Juvi Driver for a close three count. Meanwhile, MJF is getting questioning the referee’s counting abilities.

Jericho then hit Guerrera with a Judas Effect laying him down on the ring mattress and made his way up to the top turnbuckle and delivered a top rope Judas Effect to get the three count.

After the match got over, Wardlow attacks Jericho from behind and then lays waste on Guerrera as well. MJF then grabbed the mic and says “I’m so sorry guys, did we ruin that moment for you?”, he then announced Wardlow is opponent number four for Jericho.
