Earlier it seemed like ‘Hangman’ Adam Page will become the number one contender and challenge Kenny Omega. However, according to reports, AEW planned to move in a different direction and halt the feud between Page and Omega.

AEW solely did this to keep the fans invested in the feud between Page and Omega. That’s why ‘Hangman’ Page lost his title shot at last week’s Fight for the Fallen.

Cage said that the only reason he walked in AEW was to win titles and cement his legacy. He further added that his chance to become a champion was taken away because of his early retirement from the sport.

“I said it from the start. The day that I walked the doors in AEW, I said ‘I didn’t come here to slap my chest, look for my peeps, and have a couple feel-good moments’. I came back to take back what was taken from me seven years ago. I came back to cement my legacy, I came back to win championships.”

Cage was out of in-ring action for seven long years because of all the injuries he endured throughout his career. After getting rehabilitated, he made his debut at Tony Khan’s company, and since then he has been undefeated.
