After a gazillion criticisms and petitions, AEW has finally released its first Dr. Britt Baker DMD female action figure. As a part of the good news, not only Baker, but Tay Conti would also be getting one.

AEW Fans know how hard Baker had to fight (literally and figuratively) for her action figure. First, AEW and Jazwares (the manufacturers) announced that she would be part of a two-pack alongside Cody. Although Baker was not exactly thrilled, it was better than nothing.

However, Baker recently threatened AEW of early retirement if she does not get her figure soon. She even asked US President Joe Biden to get her action figure released.

Fortunately, during the AEW fan fest on Saturday, Baker’s single action figure was announced as a part of AEW Unrivaled Series 1. She reacted to the news with her action figures in hand and with a thank you to Joe Biden.

Along with Baker, AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida also got her action figure. While Baker’s figure is yet to be released, Shida’s figure is available for purchase.

It is great to see Baker get some recognition after much turmoil. Baker is the up-and-coming face of the AEW Women’s division and the fan-favorite in her match against Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida at Double or Nothing on Sunday.

Apart from Britt Baker, Tay Conti also got her action figure

Compared to Baker, Conti did not have to petition for her action figure as much. On the contrary, the news of her figure comes as a shock to many.

Conti’s figure would be a part of AEW Unrivaled Series 2. She would debut with Sting, MJF, Santana, Ortiz, and Wardlow. Conti expressed her gratitude as she wrote, I’m literally crying, my first figure ever! It means more than I can explain… believe in your dreams, y’all.”

Conti is also an integral part of AEW as she is one of the ‘home-grown’ superstars. While her struggles for the action figure might not be as intense as Britt’s, she has had her own share of struggles.

Conti recently revealed how heartbroken she felt at her previous workspace, WWE. But she was not allowed to leave as she might have gone to AEW. After all the efforts, she was suddenly let go last year amidst the COVID-19 Budget cuts.

Conti felt “lost” but swiftly recovered as AEW fired her (as predicted by WWE). In AEW, Conti has teamed up with Anna Jay and joined the late Brodie Lee’s faction, The Dark Order.

Both women finally got acknowledged by AEW. Their action figures would inspire countless girls worldwide to chase their dreams and never give up. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
