The match started with some early domination from Hangman. After a high boot to the face, he tossed Omega across the ring. It was clear that the veteran was not going to have an easy win as he did against Sonny Kiss.

Hangman had everything to fight for. He was part of the Bullet Club headed by Kenny Omega, and most recently, he won the AEW Tag Team Championships with “The Cleaner.”

Instead of cutting his partner loose from the faction, Omega tried to work with him to improve, and hence, the tag team collaboration began. Unfortunately, it all did not work out as expected.

After subsequent losses, Omega attacked Page himself, exiling him from the faction and breaking the flawed partnership. This match was retribution for Hangman who wanted to take it all away from his former leader.

Hangman gave Kenny Omega a run for his money

Kenny Omega, however, is a far more experienced wrestler. Using his knowledge from various wrestling promotions over the last decade, he managed to tire out his opponent.

Hangman took the pain to Omega by throwing him into a powerbomb onto the mat outside the ring. Coming back quickly, Hangman had several bursts of energy.

At every point, the match was the tip of the knife-edge fight. Both Superstars went in and out of it and tables were turned several times. However, Omega managed to pull off the decisive move after catching Hangman off guard.

Jon Moxley will have to work yet again to keep his gold

The former AEW Champion picked up the pinfall win by delivering a devastating One-Winged Angel. There is a straight path cut out for him to face Jon Moxley now for the AEW Championship.

This will be the hardest match for Omega, after what we just saw Moxley do to Eddie Kingston. We eagerly wait for this match, as AEW plans yet another maxed out card for its fans.
