IMPACT and AEW Break New Ground With Huge Main-Event Announcement for Hard To Kill

AEW has been mesmerizing fans with its product for months now and has been above NXT on Thursday for consecutive weeks. It has also redefined the boundaries of professional wrestling promotions through its association with IMPACT Wrestling. 

IMPACT and AEW have now broken new ground by announcing the first-ever inter-promotional main-event for Hard To Kill. The promotion announced that AEW Champion Kenny Omega will be teaming up with Gallows and Anderson to face Swan, Moose, and Sabin.

This massive 6 man Tag Team event is sure to gain a lot of views. Kenny Omega is living the life of his dreams by being the star of two shows- AEW and IMPACT. 

Don Callis wanted to get Kenny Omega to IMPACT for a while and finally got his dream when the promotion announced the major crossover. 

Kenny Omega is currently in the form of his life. His momentum as AEW Champion multiplied when he decided to make the IMPACT crossover happen, and fans are enjoying this merge of wrestling worlds. 

IMPACT wants to use its impeccable tag team division to gain strategic leverage over WWE.

The two promotions have been far better in WWE when it comes to the format and continues to excel in it. Kenny Omega as the viewership attractor would be something IMPACT can thrive on as the next episode progresses.

AEW gives far more freedom to its Superstars than WWE

So far, the AEW contract has proven to be worth the signature. Tony Khan has an open policy on inter-promotional wrestling. Superstars in the company regularly participate in other events from different promotions which sets it apart from WWE.

The deals with NJPW, Lucha Libre AAA, and IMPACT enable the trade of Superstars for certain appearances possible. It also fosters a better working relationship between companies which is coincidentally something that Vince McMahon breached during the rise of WWE. 

We can only judge how well IMPACT did after the ratings come out. Is Kenny Omega the talisman for Don Callis just like he is for Tony Khan? We will soon find out.
