Matt Hardy was busted open cruelly this week on the latest edition of AEW Dynamite. This certainly is one of the most extreme things that happened to Hardy in many years.

The rivalry between Matt Hardy and Sammy Guevara is new and has already been through some mad moments.

After a suspension, Guevara returned to action on the 1st August edition of AEW Dynamite. Matt Hardy would then be a great mentor to him and give him a ‘push’.

Hardy had interfered in the Jurassic Express, Best Friends, and Orange Cassidy vs. The Inner Circle match-up. The distraction caused by him added fuel to the rivalry.

On the latest edition of AEW Dynamite, Matt Hardy walked out to cut a promo. Hardy spoke about how he hadn’t come to AEW to play any gimmick or character.

He came to the show to be himself where he could be the same person on and off the screen. Hardy was soon interrupted by Guevara who sneaked in from under the ring.

The two Superstars would then brawl all the way up to the entrance area where things got ugly. Guevara launched a chair into Hardy’s head, which busted him wide open.

Hardy was then put through a table to close out the segment by Guevara.
