Chris Jericho, MJF, and the rest of the Inner Circle marched to the ring for the scheduled ‘War Council.’ Notably, Jericho had announced a ‘War Council’ this past Sunday on AEW Revolution following his and MJF’s loss to AEW World Tag Team Champions, The Young Bucks.

What happened at the War Council announced by Chris Jericho?

Chris Jericho and the rest of the Inner Circle came to the ring to assess their shortcomings. Before any action, Sammy Guevara returned to AEW after the Inner Circle kicked him out a few weeks ago. Jericho said he didn’t want to hear a thing from Sammy, but the latter insisted.

Sammy Guevara showed footage of a hidden camera where MJF was seen pursuing Jake Hager, Santana, and Ortiz to help him attack Jericho. ‘Le Champion’ revealed he knows what MJF had in mind, as the boys already told him about it. MJF pleaded to Jericho, but the ‘Demo God’ didn’t listen and kicked him out of the faction.

MJF smirked and revealed he was never interested to lead the Inner Circle. Rather, he was focusing on building an army of his own. The lights went out as soon as MJF said that.

MJF subtly reacts to his heinous actions on AEW Dynamite

The lights came back as we saw FTR, Shawn Spears, Wardlow, and Tully Blanchard stand right behind the Inner Circle. Just as the Inner Circle looked back, they were attacked.

Dax Harwood broke a bottle of wine on Hager’s head, while Spears took out Guevara with a chair. FTR then hit Santana and Ortiz with stereo-assisted piledrivers and handcuffed them to each other.

MJF reacted to his actions in a very subtle way. He posted an image of him being the puppet master and the Inner Circle as his puppets. The post clearly means MJF was controlling the Inner Circle all along as part of his plan. Well, this won’t age well for the ‘Salt of the Earth.’

However, the attack wasn’t over yet. Wardlow made quick work of Chris Jericho, as MJF hit Jericho wearing his Dynamite Diamond Ring, and then to add salt on wounds, hit Jericho with his own baseball bat.

We don’t know when, but Jericho got busted open between the Diamond Ring and Baseball Bat attack.

‘Le Champion’ bled profusely as the rest of the Inner Circle laid helpless. Wardlow dragged Jericho to the entrance stage and hit him with a vicious powerbomb. The powerbomb from that height through the table knocked out Chris Jericho.

The segment ended with the new unnamed faction of MJF, FTR, Shawn Spears, Tully Blanchard, and Wardlow standing tall and happy!
