AEW Dynamite ended with the swerve of the decade last week when MJF laid out an ambush for the Inner Circle. This week, the ‘Salt of the Earth’ appeared on the St. Patrick’s Day Slam episode of Dynamite to introduce his new faction comprising FTR, Shawn Spears, Wardlow, and Tully Blanchard.

MJF introduces The Pinnacle to the world

MJF came out with his new faction, The Pinnacle. All six men stood in the ring in dapper suits as the veteran Tully Blanchard kicked off the segment, praising the greatness of their newly formed faction and their actions from last week.

Then, MJF revealed why he turned on Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle. He said he never wanted to be a part of the Inner Circle, let alone leading the group. The only thing he always wanted was to end the Chris Jericho-led faction.

MJF said that while Chris Jericho was trying to take him under his wing, he was plucking Jericho’s feathers. He said he wanted to end the Inner Circle to establish a stronger faction, and he did just that.

The ‘Salt of the Earth‘ highlighted each member’s strengths and accolades, including his. MJF hyped Wardlow as the best big man in pro wrestling today and also showered high praise on ‘The Chairman’ Shawn Spears.

As per him, Spears has been overlooked for way too long now but not anymore.

He then talked about FTR’s tag team greatness and pointed out the fact that they are the only tag team who are Grand Slam World Tag Team Champions. For those unaware, FTR has held the Raw, SmackDown, and NXT Tag Team Championship as The Revival.

MJF then brought the spotlight on himself. He said he’s been on national TV for almost a year but is already one of the biggest names in pro wrestling today. He pointed out how young and talented he is.

What’s next for The Pinnacle?

We believe that each member of The Pinnacle is going to insert themselves into the title picture once their feud with the Inner Circle settles. As per our belief, the Inner Circle – Pinnacle feud could very well culminate at the Double or Nothing PPV in May.

Post-Double or Nothing, we strongly believe that all members will go after championships. MJF and Shawn Spears will go for the AEW World Championship and TNT Championship, respectively. FTR, on the other hand, will look to reclaim their AEW World Tag Team Championships.

Pinnacle members entering the title picture isn’t something we’re saying for the sake of it. MJF has said it himself! He said that they (The Pinnacle) will be AEW’s backbone for years to come and added that they will take every championship in AEW. Not just championships, but they will take whatever they want, whenever they want.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman finished by saying that he will remember Jericho, and the GOAT status will be reserved for him. The Dynamite Diamond Ring winner ended the segment by saying, “I’m better than you and you know it!”
