Paul Wight might make his in-ring debut sooner than expected. The former WWE superstar got into his first physical altercation on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

At the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Wight walked out to rescue Tony Schiavone. Schiavone and his son, Chris were at the end of an attack by QT Marshall and his goons. Once they took down Chris, they stepped up to Tony, before Wight walked out.

Paul made his surprising AEW debut at the beginning of this year. Since WWE wouldn’t let him return to the ring, he took his services to AEW. Wight also stated that he had no creative control over his character and he had much more to offer.

Paul Wight delivers a massive Chokeslam

On tonight’s AEW Dynamite, before the main event between Chris Jericho and Wardlow; a segment took place involving Schiavone, QT Marshall and his faction.

Tony demanded an apology from Marshall for pouring a protein shake on his head weeks ago. Marshall grabbed hold of the mic, saying that because of all the disrespect that Tony had shown to him, he should apologize to Marshall.

However, Marshall says that he will apologize to Tony, but not for pouring that drink, but for what he is about to do with his son, Chris. Marshall’s stablemates Aaron Solo and Nick Comoroto took Chris Schiavone from the crowd and attacked him.

Even though Marshall apologised, Marshall delivered a diamond cutter to Tony’s son. Next thing we know, Paul Wight made his way to the ring.

Wight stared down The Factory before Marshall, and Comoroto pushed Solo into him, allowing them to escape at the expense of their partner. Wight then delivered a massive Chokeslam to Solo and then stared down Marshall, standing at ringside.

Although no match was announced, this brief altercation has left fans hoping to see Wight making his in-ring return.
