AEW Revolution saw an incredible ladder match between some of AEW’s top stars. However, the match ended with a ladder spot that left the fans shocked. Wardlow won the “Face of the Revolution” ladder match at the event. But it came at an enormous cost for Ricky Starks. He was power-bombed on a ladder in the process by Wardlow. The spot looked very rough, and it looks like Starks landed on his neck.

The match itself was incredible. The competitors included Ricky Starks, Wardlow, Christian Cage, Orange Cassidy, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Keith Lee. Moreover, the match included some incredible spots delivered by these world-class athletes. Particularly, Orange Cassidy shined in the match as he tried to climb the ladder with his hands in his pockets. Additionally, the veteran Christian Cage speared Hobbs into a ladder. The action kept on going as it spilled all around the arena.

At one point, Wardlow, Hobbs, and Lee made it to the stage where ladders again came into play. However, Wardlow ended up throwing Keith Lee and Hobbs off the stage. Cassidy and Hobbs also delivered an incredible spot when Hobbs super-plexed Cassidy off the ladder.

However, nothing grabbed more attention than the spot involving Ricky Starks and Wardlow. At the end of the match, both wrestlers ended up climbing the ladder, but only Wardlow gained an advantage. He got under Starks and delivered a devastating powerbomb to Starks onto a ladder wedged into another ladder. The worrisome part was that the impact of the steel went to Starks’ neck.

Fans react to Ricky Starks’ possible injury

Fans all over social media have raised concerns about Starks’ health, as the spot looked incredibly dangerous.

Furthermore, fans raised concern over the fact that Starks’ already suffered a similar injury very recently. This could have made things even worse for the wrestler.

Ricky Starks suffered a terrible neck injury in a match on AEW Dynamite in April 2021. While it still remains unconfirmed if Starks is indeed injured, the landing on his neck did not look smooth. His fans all over the world are hoping the wrestler is okay and hasn’t suffered any injuries. Only time will tell whether Starks will suffer any consequences due to that brutal ladder spot.
