The slow dissension within the Inner Circle continues as Chris Jericho and MJF are now an official tag team. On AEW Dynamite, Jericho and the Inner Circle walked out to the ring to declare their New Year’s resolutions. The segment took an odd turn once the other members of the Inner Circle had enough of MJF and Jericho’s chicanery.

Jake Hager was the first to go, declaring that his only resolution is to win championships. MJF went next, and his resolution was to continue strengthening the bonds of the Inner Circle and “fat guys need to go.

Chris Jericho declared that 2021 will be the year he and MJF win the AEW Tag Team Championships. This statement irked Santana who claimed that he and Ortiz were ‘the’ tag team in the Inner Circle. Proud and Powerful have not had many memorable matches on Dynamite; however, their Parking Lot Fight against the Best Friends was a banger.

Sammy Guevara was the most irked out of the entire faction, calling Jericho a ‘tag team sl*t’. Guevara and Jericho were a pretty great tag team called Le Sex Gods, but since MJF arrived, Jericho has been yearning to team up with him. This obviously angered Sammy who went off on his former mentor.

All this talk about tag team wrestling gave Jericho an idea. Next week, Jericho and MJF would take on PNP and Sammy Guevara and Jake Hager to determine the number one team in the faction.

This match is bound to be a show-stealer as MJF and Sammy Guevara finally face off in an AEW ring. We will get to see Jake Hager toss MJF from one side of the ring to the other.

This match is also a must watch. For the first time in their careers, Santana and Ortiz are the dark horses. It is safe to assume that PNP will win next week as they are the only official tag team in the Inner Circle, and they are way too talented to play second fiddle to a throwaway team.
