Tony Khan Claims TNT Network is Super Happy With the Hype Around AEW Rampage

Ever since the live audience came back to attend wrestling events, the ratings for every wrestling promotion have increased worldwide. But one promotion that has been impressive lately is Tony Khan’s AEW. Dynamite was the number one show on cable for three weeks straight; now the crowd is eagerly waiting for AEW Rampage.

Despite having a bit of controversy after the deathmatch between Chris Jericho and Nick Gage after that pizza cutter spot and Domino’s, the ratings never took a hit for AEW.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, AEW President Tony Khan talked about the launch of his upcoming event called AEW Rampage, which will take place this Friday in Pittsburgh.

Tony Khan says TNT is extremely happy seeing the hype around AEW Rampage

Speaking on the podcast, Khan said the response, and the bookings by people before the audience overwhelms TNT and makes them feel positive about their future with the wrestling promotion.

Tony said, “As a wrestling fan and as a wrestling promoter, this is the best news we can get. TNT is so happy with how Rampage is tracking already. I think they think it’s going to be a huge hit. There’s definitely a lot of interest and we owe the people at TNT. They could not have rolled out the red carpet any more for us.” [h/t:WrestlingInc]

He added, “They have so much in terms of promoting the show. There’s been ads all over the place. I watched ‘Seinfeld’ on TBS last night when I checked into the hotel in Pittsburgh. Every time it went to break, there were Rampage commercials, which is great.”

With all the hype around the upcoming event and the recent bar set by AEW, Rampage looks like will become an event full of surprises and breath-taking moments. With the IMPACT World Championship match between Kenny Omega and Christian Cage, we are in for a heck of a night.
