Britt Baker takes on Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women’s Championship at Double or Nothing. This is the biggest women’s match in AEW history, as few have come close to reaching Baker’s level in the past year.

AEW have successfully made this match look like a real title fight through interviews with Jim Ross and a very heated brawl before Dynamite. As AEW CEO Tony Khan, along with a few wrestlers posed for a photograph for Forbes, Britt Baker got cocky.

She approached the photographer and asked him when the article comes out. She then told him to get a picture of her with the AEW Women’s Title since she believes she could be the champion when the article comes out.

As she tried to grab the title from Shida, the champion shoved her and Britt fired back with a forearm to the face.

Tony Khan, FTR, Cody, Powerhouse Hobbs, Orange Cassidy and Eddie Kingston quickly separated the two women. This segment did not air and AEW uploaded it on their Instagram page. On Dynamite, Baker sat down with Jim Ross for an exclusive interview.

Ahead of her huge title match at Double or Nothing, Britt Baker sat down with AEW senior advisor and commentator Jim Ross for an exclusive interview. In the interview, Baker made a bold claim about her chances at Double or Nothing and warned the Women’s Champion.

“Isn’t it almost poetic that the monster that Shida created is going to dethrone her? Unless she’s going to kill me. And if you haven’t noticed, I’m pretty hard to kill. I am the face and the pulse of this division. I guarantee I will win at Double or Nothing.”

It was a match with Hikaru Shida that flipped the switch on Baker’s personality. She was AEW’s first female talent and portrayed a happy, smiling babyface, but having Shida bust her open brought out the dark side in her. If she wants to become champion, she has to channel that ugly side on May 30th.
